Whether you are a ‘domestic terrorist’ or not is not for me to judge, particularly in light of the National School Board Association’s definition.
I am old enough to remember when parents trusted, as they sent their children off to school, that the school system would do their best to prepare their child for whatever came next — a trade, a job, home life, college. There were classes on Home Econ and Shop, music classes and a variety of Clubs. Whatever was going on at home parents trusted the schools.
You may live in an affluent area where the benefits of your local school cause you no worry, perhaps. The nation has been dumbed down over the decades and it’s not because math or reading or geography has gotten harder. But make no mistake, the State and the school boards are out to change your child in ways you perhaps did not expect (or agree with).
These days, more than ever, parents need to poke their noses into the schools, discuss these issues with the child’s teacher, and go to school board meetings. This is a time consuming and unpopular (with the powers that me) effort. Yet if you don’t do it your school board will take your lack of involvement as tacit acceptance of their programs to “re-educate” your child.
Do you know what explicit sex education is being taught to your child? Are you even allowed to know? Are you allowed to opt out? Do you know what your school can legally NOT report to you about your child?
I would argue that what schools are doing to our children in the name of “diversity”, “inclusion”, and “self-expression” is terrorism. Irreversible surgeries are a terror.
It is your right, your responsibility, to stand up for your child. Do not be silenced.
Please go to your local school districts and schools and voice your opinion. Your children are yours.
