California parents may lose custody of their children since the California State Assembly passed a bill recently that would require judges in child custody cases to consider whether a parent has affirmed a child’s belief that they are transgender.

The definition of “affirm” seems ambiguous at best.

“AB 957 originally proposed that courts deciding custody cases must consider whether each parent was gender-affirming of the child in question. An amendment in June added to the state’s standard of what constitutes parental responsibility for child welfare, requiring that parents must be affirming of a child’s gender identity if they are to be judged fit for providing for “the health, safety, and welfare of the child” in a court of law.”

This is just one more step in child abuse and risking State control over your child where California parents may lose custody. Children are subject to peer pressure and the desire to be noticed. What is “cool” today may be old news tomorrow. “Transformation” drugs and surgery are hardly reversible.

Democratic state Sen. Scott Wiener from San Francisco co-authored AB 957. Scott has also sponsored legislation pushing for children ages 12-17 to be vaccinated without the parents’ consent.

California has been attacking parents’ rights for some time. This is from an article from 2022:

This treatment often starts with changed names and pronouns. It may then move to experimental puberty blockers, then cross-sex hormones and sterilizing surgeries. Double mastectomies, castration, and hysterectomies are just the beginning of this medical parade of horribles.

These drugs and surgeries can cause severe pain; permanent sexual dysfunction; long-term damage to bones, heart, and blood circulation; and sterility. And there’s no good evidence that they improve kids’ mental and emotional health.

Rather than face these facts squarely, some states, such as California, are now so far gone that parents can lose custody of their daughters and sons for resisting this effort to upend natural puberty. [emphasis added]

“lose custody”? This “logic” is so far gone it is hard to believe. Since when did any of us know how to make such life decisions at such young and impressionable ages? Did we even have life all figured out at age 18? But here you have it.
